2007-2008 Annual Campaign Kick-Off

THE COMMUNITY CHEST OF PORT WASHINGTON CELEBRATES OCTOBER AS “COMMUNITY CHEST MONTH” AND KICKS OFF ITS ANNUAL CAMPAIGN.

We invite all who live or work in Port Washington to be one of The People of Port Helping the People of Port. With the Community Chest flag flying at the Town Dock during the month of October, the Chest begins its annual fundraising campaign.  The goal for Campaign 2007-2008 is $325,000, which will be used to fund vital programs that serve The People of Port.

Residents and businesses in Port Washington should watch for the new Community Chest brochure coming in the mail during the month of October.  Look at the red feather signs that will show the progress of the campaign at the Post Office, the LIRR Station and in front of the Community Chest building (opposite the Town Dock).

Whether you live in Manorhaven, Flower Hill, Sands Point or Salem, the Community Chest is here for you, and the Community Chest needs your support. For more information about the Chest, please call 516-767-2121 or contact the Chest at info@portchest.org.
