The Community Chest of Port Washington: Over 75 years of empowering our community. Since 1949, we’ve been the driving force behind unified fundraising, enabling local organizations to make a tangible, lasting impact. What began as a small commitment has evolved into a
significant movement—today, we proudly raise and distribute funds to 28 essential nonprofits, directly benefiting over 7,000 Port
Washington residents each year. Our $390,000 fundraising goal is crucial. It directly fuels programs in social services, health and wellness, education, and more, ensuring comprehensive support and vital opportunities reach those who need them most.
